At Santos Furniture, we use the finest timbers. Fir is the traditional material of choice for it’s strength, durability and it’s grain definition. It was the backbone of the early legendary builders. Cherry is used for it’s strength, beauty and carvability. Juniper is used for ornamentation.
One of the reason’s these pieces become heirlooms is the meticulous attention to detail. You will see this in our fine carvings and poles that are hand-hewn for greater authenticity.
For comfort that will last for generations, 8-way hand tied springs is the system of choice. To ensure stability and prevent warpage in all climates, Ply Frame™ is used in all deck frames. And Ultra Down is used in the cushions for the greatest comfort
